Monterey Park has always been home to Vinh, which provided opportunities for him to achieve his American Dream. Vinh wants to give back and pay it forward by further serving the community that has supported him.
Vinh T Ngo is a proud product of Monterey Park. Vinh's Chinese parents immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 from Vietnam and arrived in Monterey Park in 1980. He was promoted and graduated from Monterey Vista Elementary, Garvey Intermediate, Mark Keppel High School, and University of Southern California with Accounting & Finance degrees. He remained in Monterey Park: raising two children who are also alumni of Garvey and Mark Keppel.
Vinh T Ngo is dedicated to serving the community. He is an active community leader through his volunteer services. Currently elected to serve the City Council District 5 of Monterey Park, Vinh is also the Board President of the Garvey Education Foundation whose focus is to raise money for the local school activities benefiting students and teachers.
Vinh is a Risk Executive at Bank of America. Since 2008, Vinh has continuously earned The President's Volunteer Service Award, and in 2016 received the prestigious Global Diversity and Inclusion Award for his positive impact in the workplace and in the community.
Vinh is the Chair Emeritus of the Board of the Chinatown Service Center which provides health and social services for the low-income community in Southern California since 1971. CSC serves over 300,000 client and patient touchpoints annually.
